Membership Benefits

The obvious benefit of membership in the Marine Corps League's Upper Chattahoochee Detachment is to enjoy the camaraderie that we who are Marines share. More importantly, as Marines we were taught from day-one to seek leadership responsibilities. As members of the Detachment we demonstrate our commitment to that principal through self-example in our local community, and by supporting our fellow Marines and worthwhile activities within the Hall County and Northeast Georgia area.

Membership Eligibility

Regular Member: Must have served in the U.S. Marine Corps on active duty for at least 90 days, earned the Eagle, Globe and Anchor, and received an honorable discharge (or currently serving).

FMF Corpsmen/Chaplains: Navy personnel who served with FMF units, earned the Marine Corps device or FMF badge/ribbon, and served 90+ days.

Associate Member: Individuals who do not meet the above criteria but support the goals of the League.

Our detachment serves veterans in Gainesville, Buford, Dacula, Suwannee, John’s Creek, Braselton, Clermont, and Cornelia offers a supportive community focused on camaraderie, transition assistance, and advocacy.

Application Procedure

Those eligible and interested in becoming a regular or associate member should download and complete the electronic application. Annual membership dues for 2026 is $35, payable at the time a regular or associate membership application is submitted. You must provide and submit a copy of your DD-214 form, demonstrating honorable service. The detachment's Paymaster can assist during this process and answer any questions you may have.
